We couldn’t do this without some very important people…

As long as I can remember, Gabby has been like a sister to me. She is my constant companion and role model. After more than enough time dating, I am so excited my best friend will be marrying hers.

I met Jacob back in autumn of 1992 when he moved into the house with me and my parents. I wasn’t sure what to make of it all at first but I did get upgraded to the bigger bedroom, so that was nice. He grew on me over the years and eventually he made the best decision of his life and proposed to Gabby.

I met Gabby when we were in elementary school together and we became fast friends. Growing up, we spent many nights at each other’s house watching Gilmore Girls, eating junk food, and talking about all the ways we’d be like Rory. During one of these sleepovers, Gabby and I made a pact to be each other’s maids of honor. At another sleepover years later, I heard about this cute boy named Jacob. If you know Gabby you know how great and loyal of a friend she is, so our pact and friendship has stood the test of time and that Jacob guy is still pretty cute!

I can proudly say I met Jacob and Gabby at exactly the same time, at a Chick-fil-A in Wilmington where the groomsmen two pictures down from me worked the summer before freshman year of college. After some initial skepticism due to the speed in which I talked and peculiar interests, Jacob, Gabby, and I become fast and close friends at UNC and, now, our nation’s capital. Some of our frequent hobbies together include bimonthly and sometimes weekly dinners on their patio, planning our next international trip that is constantly stuck in idea stage, me serving as Blue’s third parent and closest confidante, telling Gabby she’s right when she really isn’t, and telling Jacob he’s wrong when he’s clearly right. After all these years and experiences, I couldn’t be more excited to see my two favorite people in the whole world say “I do.”

Recipe for a Gabs and Tina friendship:

  • As many pizza dates with the nicest (read: cheapest) house red that you can handle to establish a similar love of food

  • Two running dates to build a strong foundation of shared misery

  • A night locked out of an apartment with a bottle of red and mini desserts from Trader Joe’s to force us to become close before without knowing each other that long

  • Eerily similar childhoods to fuse the bond because no one else can understand

  • A love for men who adore us/put up with us despite our insanity (really Jacob, you’re a saint) so that we can remind ourselves how lucky we are

  • A whole lot of love and loyalty over the last five years because really there’s no better friend than Gabby

While Jacob and I met when we were little at microns, it wasn’t until 6th grade when our friendship really kickstarted as he made the poor decision of cheating off my test. Things have drastically improved since then, and Jake has continued as one of my best friends throughout our adult lives. I also met Gabby in high school, followed both Gabby and Jake to college, and landed in DC with them after graduation - which has resulted in countless Saturdays nights, only one of which ended in Jake bravely defending my Nashville navigational abilities. Excited to watch two of my oldest friends take this next step!

If we’re counting successful relationships built through the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, we’d be remiss not to count mine and Gabby's friendship. We met at a Monday night Bachelor watch party hosted at my apartment after I moved to DC and quickly bonded over our love of running. We ran our first half marathon together in November of 2016 and never looked back (unless it was for more tomato soup). Countless miles (traveled by running, cars, busses, planes, horseback, and somewhat successfully – skis) later, we have made some of my favorite memories in the city (a small town to some!). From dinner parties on Gabby and Jacob’s patio to ABBA dance parties in my living room, we always have the best time. Grateful for all the laughter, runs, friendship, steadfast loyalty, advice, and adventures. Here’s to many more!

From Microns Soccer to college roommates Jacob and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. As best friends since 6th grade Jacob and I did everything together: from soccer, cleaning out his garage fridge of Tahitian Treat, the 4x800 (school record nbd). We even followed each other to UNC where we were freshman roommates and lived with each other 3 out of 4 years. I've known Gabby since high school and it's been great to see their relationship grow into what it is today. I cannot wait to see them take this next step in their lives.

I grew up in Wilmington, NC, and had the incredible fortune of spending the entirety of my schooling with Gabby — from 1st grade babies at St. Mary to high school at New Hanover to being senior year roommates at UNC! Our favorite activities as kiddos included beach time, watching Gilmore Girls, and hanging out with Jacob (oh wait, nothing's changed!).

While Jacob and I met in middle school, it was during our time at New Hanover, through the rigors of track, Lyceum, and mostly healthy competitiveness, our friendship blossomed. Fiercely loyal and thoughtful friends, both Jacob and Gabby were voices of reason from the rowdiness of “the Fest.” Fishing, surfing, oystering, crabbing, mountain biking, and pretentiously sipping craft beers would have been lackluster without Jacob. I am excited to send Jacob off as he embarks on his next great adventure.

I met Gabby and Jacob in the ninth grade at New Hanover High School. Since then, I have watched their relationship go from awkward locker flirting to boyfriend & girlfriend to prom to college sweeties and now marriage! Gabby is such a good friend to me. We were by each other’s side figuring out high school, we followed each other to UNC, and Gabby cheered me on as my bridesmaid in 2017. Gabby and Jacob’s love is as sweet as molasses. I am going to cry like a big baby on their wedding day.

Jacob and I met as suitemates our freshman year at UNC.  We would spend the next four years together as we joined the same fraternity and lived together as housemates our senior year.  We bonded over many late-night FIFA matches, usually with me winning and Jacob storming off not talking to me for hours.  Over the years I have watched Jacob and Gabby grow together knowing that one day we would all be here to celebrate their marriage. I am excited to share this special moment with these two and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!

Brought together by Bachelor Mondays, a love of nachos, and the power of tequila, Gabby and I hit it off five years ago... a girl group beach trip was planned within the first hour of knowing each other. That was the first of many plans as Gabby loved me despite my type-A tendencies and I adored Gabby even though she was usually late to brunch. Now neighbors, all it takes is a short stroll for us to have all the adventures we want, from singing “Chicken Fried” on a river tube to cozy nights in wearing matching pajamas. I am forever grateful for Gabby’s endless supply of laughter, dance moves, and support. It’s such an honor to have the opportunity to return the favor on April 3, 2021!

I became friends with Jacob and Gabby in high school, where, after meeting Jacob in the 9th grade, I kept annoyingly showing up to hang out until he put me in his wedding 13 years later. I'm glad to be here, and am very excited to celebrate with these two in these uNprEcEdEntEd TimES.

For years, Monday evenings for me meant Gabby, wine, cheese, and reality TV. Since then, Gabby and I bonded over mutual love for crosswords, Call Your Mother bagels (thanks, Jacob!), Moscow mules, and Lizzo. As Lizzo says, “baby, she’s the whole damn meal” because Gabby is my friend that is down for everything. In one morning together, we can go from deadlifting at the gym to brunch at her favorite Afghan bistro. A real renaissance friend (perhaps her Italian heritage is to thank for that?)! I also share Gabby’s love of cats and, in fact, three of us on this page have – at some point – owned her cat Blue before she and Jacob gave him his forever…apartment. I’m still hoping he will be the ring bearer.
